Boo

This is Boo, a freebie from the Stitcherhood. I stitched it over one on Monaco that I dyed. He has a gap in his mouth because I made a counting mistake, but I think it gives him character. Also, there is no way I want to rip out over one stitching :)

You are right! I give him added charm and character! lol I thought it was supposed to be that way, until I read otherwise! Don't let anyone else know about your mis-count.

That is a cute pattern, and your stitching is lovely! I LOVE your fabric color! What sort of dye did you use?

Thanks for sharing this cutey-pie JOL with us!!

Thanks, Suzie. I dyed the fabric with RIT powdered dye.

Did you use one straight color, or do a little custom blending?

I'm disappointed in the local stores Rit inventory. I remember years ago, the large displays of lots of colors (I used to dye and sell tie-dyed shirts, skirts, and even waterbed sheets! lol)

Now all I can find is black, brown, dark blue, and red, IF I'm lucky. Most stores don't even carry it anymore. I guess I'm going to have to resort to buying on-line.

Thanks for the info Lynn! You did an excellent job! The color looks rich and even. I hope that you try doing some more fabric dying!

Suzie, I just used orange dye. I used the washing machine to dye it. I dyed some Monaco fabric and a tote bag that I stitched Halloween designs on. I was really happy with the way they came out, the color took well and was even. I also have used a dye called dylon that I used for another piece of fabric and a tote bag that worked just as well.
I know what you mean about finding dyes. The town I live in has a Wal-mart and their inventory isn't very good either. It seems like any time that they do get something I like in, they don't carry it for very long.

I think the gap matches his eyes! I love how it turned out. I have this one as well...it would make a cute floss tag! Nice work.
