This is my first Spooky start since joining this SAL. The Boo needle book from Just Nan's 'Over the top and in the tin' range. Here in the UK it is very difficult to get 30 count fabric so I have used 32 count Belfast linen (Crystal Peach). Shortly after starting, the middle and two pumpkins were done, this nearly became a UFO as I didn't like the way it looked stitched two over two. To me it looked really thick and 'clumpy'. So I started another one, this time doing it with one strand as you can imagine the coverage was poor. I was getting fed up. I really like Just Nan designs but this one was not working for me. A quick persevere with the two over two pep talk from my Mum and about half an hour later and I was back friends with the design, which is a good job as I have the tin lid in my stash and I had originally thought of stitching this again and turning it into a Halloween biscornu!

Jen, I'm sorry that you had problems with this project, but your hard work and perserverence paid off! I'm SO happy that you decided to finish it! It looks wonderful!!
And before you told us what it was, I thought that it WAS a biscornu pattern, so yes! Do make one! It would be adorable!!
Thanks for sharing this accomplishment with us!
Jen I promise it will be worth it! Stick with it!!!! Mine is all done however DON'T do what I did and cut the fabric too short to the point where I had to send it to a finisher to save it! My tin is all done, now I'm just awaiting for the needlecase to come back. Then I plan on posting both together. It is REALLY cute when it's done.
Looking great. Are you going to do the tin top as well?
It looks great, even with all the trouble. It will make a pretty needlebook.
looks great
