Boo needle book update

All the stitching on the Boo needle book from Just Nan is finished.

Boo needle book
Now all I need to do is 'finish' it properly. I have made a start on the matching tin lid design but there's not much worth showing at the moment. After this I am going to start Midnight Ride, a freebie from the Kreinik website.

New Start

I started Lizzie Kate, If the broom fits! It is so cute, I think I might make it into an easel when it is done.

Hope everyone's week is going well.

WIP The Giving Sisters

I'm taking a chance here, with the continued problems with the blogs and Internet Explorer. I do wish that they would get the problems fixed!!

With that in mind, I'm keeping this brief! I wasn't going to post a photo until it was done, but my stitching time has been extrememly limited lately, so I presenting this, wrinkles and all!!

All of my stitching is fun, but there is something extra fanciful about working on a Halloween piece, and this one is no exception.

I hope that everyone has a safe holiday weekend!

At Your Own Risk

Here's my latest finish. I've been wanting to stitch it for awhile and since I seem to be on a Halloween stitching roll, I pulled the chart out.

Boo Needleroll finished

This is Boo Needleroll by Down Sunshine Lane. it is done on black linen and I changed some of the colors on it. It still has to be sewn up.
Then I started Halloween Fairy by Nora Corbett.

Boo needle book

This is my first Spooky start since joining this SAL. The Boo needle book from Just Nan's 'Over the top and in the tin' range. Here in the UK it is very difficult to get 30 count fabric so I have used 32 count Belfast linen (Crystal Peach). Shortly after starting, the middle and two pumpkins were done, this nearly became a UFO as I didn't like the way it looked stitched two over two. To me it looked really thick and 'clumpy'. So I started another one, this time doing it with one strand as you can imagine the coverage was poor. I was getting fed up. I really like Just Nan designs but this one was not working for me. A quick persevere with the two over two pep talk from my Mum and about half an hour later and I was back friends with the design, which is a good job as I have the tin lid in my stash and I had originally thought of stitching this again and turning it into a Halloween biscornu!

Halloween Tree is finished

Halloween Tree by M Designs. I used a green linen and overdyed threads. I just love the buttons for it.
I am hoping to finish Boo Needleroll today and to start Nora Corbett's Halloween Fairy.

I stitched on both of these this weekend. M Designs Halloween tree is all done with the cross stitching. Next Saturday I will add the buttons. Boo Needleroll is a Down Sunshine Lane pattern and I hope to have more time next Sunday and to finish it.

Just Nan Ghoulies & Ghosites

Just Nan's Ghoulies & Ghosites done on 28 ct Cappuccino Country French Linen with Au Ver A Soie Silk Threads
I finished this up last night and I still say it was the weirdest thing I've ever cross stitched just because it doesn't make any sense! LOL I plan on making it into a triangle box but I need to find some cool fibers and fabric to go with this 'weirdness'. Enjoy!

Boo

This is Boo, a freebie from the Stitcherhood. I stitched it over one on Monaco that I dyed. He has a gap in his mouth because I made a counting mistake, but I think it gives him character. Also, there is no way I want to rip out over one stitching :)

Halloween Tree

This picture is all washed out. I stitched alot on M Designs Halloween tree, yesterday. Almost done and praying that I have enough floss to finish it.

Sneak Peak...

Hey guys!!!! I've been stitching on Halloween this weekend!

The hard part is that I don't think I can show everything I've done. It's my own design and it's becoming a very real possibility that I'm going to have a distributor and that this design *might* get published. So I decided to just post a little tidbit. Just a little small section of my WIP as a teaser. I'm so thrilled with it so far. The design is for a small.
