Witchy Washy

I have a Halloween finish :) I finished Witchy Washy. I started this 2 years ago in February. So I am glad it is finished. Here is the picture. My cat's tail broke and the spider didn't look good on it so I left it off :)

Fun Witch!

Witch pattern by Kissycross. It was
fast and easy. I changed the colors so
you could see the stitching under her breast.
I had fun stitching her.

Finishes!

So here's what I've been doing for the last 2 months:
Quothe the Raven Nevermore!
My Pretties-Plum Street Samplers
36ct Vt. Basketweave-LL
Silks
I started Nevermore right after the Witchy Brew. I have yet to finish this into something, but it will probably be a flat hanging. After that came this (I'm on a roll!):

Haunted Holler
the Stitcherhood
14ct Lite Fiddler's Aida
DMC
This came out so nice. It looks so much better in person. A fun stitch. As to what I'll finish it as, who knows?! Now that I think about it, I might make into a pillow, with some Fall or Halloween fabric on the bottom. The next design isn't exactly scary but maybe the raven adds a touch!

Blessed Be
Plum Pudding Needleart-freebie
28ct I have no idea linen
DMC
Right now I have it cut down and pinned to backing fabric, ready to be sewed into a hanging pillow. And here's what I just finished today:

Magick Spells
the Stitcherhood
14ct Lite Fiddler's Aida
DMC
I like the cat; he looks positively terrifying with that grin!

I'm going back to the My Pretties chart from PSS to stitch up the Welcome design. The model has been made into a pillow with what looks like black velvet on the bottom with a tag added on. It gives it a prim look, which I like!

Two finishes

Hi all!

I have finally finished the Witch on a Broom:
Doesn't she look great? All that backstitching wasn't though! I see that Hobby Lobby is already selling Halloween fabric; so I'll get the fabric for the backing for a pillow. Also finished is Witchy Brew:

The same magazine that the Witch on the Broom came from also has this design:
I have everything for it but I already have all my Halloween stitching planned out. I'll stitch this design when I've stitched the other things.

Have a great afternoon!

Halloween is 4 months away!

You're welcome!

Nothing like a little reminder. I have finally broken away from several new un-spooky starts to work on my Witch on a Broom, and to start Witchy Brew:
I will be backstitching her, the broom, and kitty once the border is done. This is gonna make a cute pillow. And finally, here is Witchy Brew, missing more words, more cup and the ghost:
After I have these two designs done, I'm thinking of stitching some Halloween ornaments from the last years JCS Halloween magazine and some freebies that I have. I can't wait to get my hands on that JCS Halloween book that's coming out in September. I see at least one ONS that's offering a pre-order for it.

Hope your weekend is going great!

Halloween Chart Sale!

For those of us that don't have enough Halloween charts already (and we KNOW who we are, so I don't need to start naming names. .lol), Everything CrossStitch has put all of their Halloween offerings on sale, giving us slowpokes the needed time to complete our projects by the time October rolls around! Now how thoughtful is that??

I've already found several that I don't already have, that I can't live without. .how about you?

1 over Nightmare

Hi all!

Hope this Memorial Day is finding you all thinking of all those great men and women who have served and died in service to this great nation of ours!

Onward to stitching news! I have been stitching on Winifred the Witch until I got to the 1 over for the eyes and the mouth. I'm getting my butt kicked by the 1 over..hence the title of this post! I have so butchered the eye area that I got discouraged and put Winifred down. Here she is:
That left eyebrow went well and then things went downhill stitching the eyelashes and the eye. Once I buy a new pair of glasses, I will return to her. The next spooky project up next is this:

It's so cute! I have to buy one skein of GAST Blackboard but I have the fab and other threads for it. And I checked...there are no 1 over on this one!!

Have a great 4-day week!

El Dia de los Muertos

This is El Dia de los Muertos by Monsterbubbles from the 2010 JCS Halloween Issue. I wanted a washed out fabric, so I used Silkweaver Expressions Desert Sky. I also changed some of the colors to what I had in my stash. I've promised that as soon as I finish it into something that my youngest son can have it.

Spells for sale!

Here is that JCS Halloween '10 ornament that I SAID I was going to start and post a pic. That was quite a while ago! :) At any rate, here she is:

This is an easy stitch. After I finish this, my next project is going to be a cute design by Witchy Stitches called Witchy Brew. I will post a pic when I start it.

'Til next time, have fun stitching!

Halloween Cross Stitch 11

This is Halloween Cross Stitch 11 by the Floss Box.
When I saw this I had to get it. I added the ghost and the bats, instead of the charted hearts and star.
It's stitched on a Silkweaver Solo.
