Locked Blog should be taken care of
Hi All! I rec'd an email from blogger about the "locked blog" spam thing and requested the review and believe it has been taken care of. Hopefully noone will have any further problems. I know another blog had the same thing happen and once the review was requested it was done.

Couple of WIPS
Hi,
Here are a couple of my WIPS:
The first one is Pumpkin Patch by Prairie Schooler. I am stitching it 1 over 2 on 36ct. linen called Parchment from WDW using the recommened DMC floss. It is a very fun stitch.
This is called Boo by Charland Designs. It is from last year's JCS Halloween issue. I am stitching it on 32ct. linen called Boo from a company no longer in business (Dyeing 4 U) using DMC black and white for the eyes when I add them. It is stitching up very quick and alot of fun to do.
Happy Halloween Stitching.

Poor Jack
This is a freebie called Poor Jack from Just Nan. It came from The Silver Needle with an order for Scream House and it's bits and bobs. It is stitched as charted and measures 2" x 2" on 28 count Light Mocha cashel linen, the chart suggests you use Country Mocha but I didn't have any.

A new start! Mirabilia Halloween Fairy
I decided to start Mirabilia Halloween Fairy. I can't believe how quickly she is stitching up! This is progress basically from just Friday and Saturday stitching with friends. I'm using the kit but subbing the threads for her wings since I had 2 different dyelots in the kit (ugh).
I plan on a bit of a stitching marathon today so I'll be able to make a lot more progress!

Abandon Hope Wip
I wanted to make a spooky sign for Halloween, so I charted this. I'm still trying to decide on a border design. The skull is in Dmc glow-in-the-dark floss. The fabric is Monaco that I dyed. The skull is from this site: http://one.witchy.woman.tripod.com/

Ready for the Finisher
Quaker Bat is finished and ready to be made into a pillow.
I really thought I would have to force myself to work on him. I was afraid that one color would drive me to boredom, but it didn't. The pattern was fun.
So ... now it's back to the stash to see what other spooky stuff lurks in there.

A New Start. . . .
But not the one that I was originally planning.
I have already purchased the brand new pattern, Witches Stitch, Too! by Homespun Elegance, ltd. and am very anxious to get started on it. Unfortunately, I don't have the fabric, nor the overdyed threads that are needed, and am having to order them on-line. So, this little witch will have to wait just a bit before she can make an appearance.
But not wanting my Halloween Stitching mood to go to waste, I sorted through my various other Halloween patterns, to not only see what struck my mood, but mainly, what ones asked for everything that I already had!
Lo and behold, this one from last year, popped up! I have wanted to stitch this one ever since I saw it and bought it, but it always got shoved to the back of the stack for one reason or another. But the time is right, now! I've already started on it. .not enough to post a progress photo, but hopefully there will be one soon! It is When Witches Go Riding, from The Prairie Schooler. Some of you may have already stitched this pattern. I like the side piece too!
The weather has turned hot and sticky here, and the mosquitoes smell fresh blood the minute I set foot outside, so I guess it is time to settle in and stitch something black and orange, and dream of cooler, drier air, crisp nights, crunchy leaves, wood smoke, crisp apples, pumpkins, gourds & Fall colors on the trees. .aaaaahhhhhhhhh. . .
Everyone have a stitchingly happy evening!
a Few Finishes
Here are a few pieces that I have finished stitching. They are all by Blackbird Designs and from their Trix or Treat booklet. The first picture is called Trix or Treat and will be finished into a pillow. The second one is Witch's Stocking and will be finished into a stocking and I will put candy in it. The third one is called Boo and will be finished into a pinkeep.
Happy Halloween Stitching

Inspiration!
Well, I can thank all of you for this. . you are all to blame! My stitching has taken a back seat for over a month now, due to various family member's health issues, the weeds threatening to take over my herbs and flowers, and various other time consuming elements.
But recently there has been a flurry of activity here, with all sorts of delightful Halloween finishes, or works-in-progress flashing up on my computer screen every time I log on. Inspiration in it's purest form! And I thank you!
Each evening for the past few nights, I've sat down for a mere 30 minutes, and stitched just a few short rows. .and then this evening, I decided to put everything else on the back burner for a bit, and finished this:
Yes! I have finally finished The Giving Sisters!
I can't believe how much my Ott light changes the color of the fabric in the photo, but imagine an earthier wheat shade. I am gathering some different fabrics to make into a patchwork pillow, with this as the center panel.
So thank you, thank you, Thank YOU! for the continued inspiration! I love looking at all of your projects, and seeing your progress. And now keep it up because I'm already looking for the fabric and threads for my next Halloween project to put into my rotation!
Everyone who lives in the U.S., have a great Holiday weekend, and for those beyond our borders, I wish you a glorious weekend too!

I'm Marie, in South Australia. I love Halloween designs, shame it's not bug over here. That doesn't stop me though lol. So I thought I'd share a couple of things I did a earlier this year. The first is Just Nan's Count LeScarrot. I've also done her Trick or Treat Ort Box. The 2nd is Faby Reilly's Spider Biscornu
